Unterboden-Schutz Bitumen schwarz - Anti-corrosive compound for car underbody, bitumen/resin (black). Anti-corrosive compound for car underbody is a mixture of bitumen, synthetic resins, solvents and special inhibitors. After evaporation, a tough elastic film remains which provides protection against environmental effects and corrosion from de-icing salt. The compound has excellent corrosion protection properties. The product is very adhesive and is therefore applied as a non-drip coating. This means that the product can be painted on in thick layers within a single application. The coating is resistant to abrasion and acts as a sound-proofing coating. Application. For application on an underbody of wheel arches and additional protection of a car underbody. Surfaces which have to be treated must be thoroughly cleaned beforehand. Rust must be removed. The surfaces must be dry and free of dirt, grease and dust. Paint a layer on horizontal surfaces up to 1.5 mm within a single application (in case of airless spraying). The product should be sprayed using a cross pattern to avoid spray shadowing. Depending on the thickness of the applied layer and weather conditions, a car can be used approximately in 2 hours. 12 - 24 hours are required for complete drying of the applied product.
