Description
MOTUL Specific 913D 5W-30 is a high-performance, energy-saving, 100% synthetic motor oil. It is specially formulated for use in Ford engines and engines of other manufacturers requiring the oils with a low rate of HTHS (high temperature high shear) viscosity between 2.9 - 3.5 mPa/s: Ford, Rover, Jaguar, Land Rover, … It can be used in modern gasoline and diesel engines requiring energy-saving oils (ACEA A1/B1 or A5/B5) with SAE 5W-30 viscosity grade and traditional amount of sulfated ash, phosphorus and sulfur (Full SAPS). It can be used in autos with catalytic convertors or particulate filters (DPF). If necessary, read your auto owner’s manual before the oil application. Features. 100% synthetic motor oil is specially developed for lubrication of FORD diesel engines of the latest generation, except Ford Ka (from August 2008), Ford Galaxy with diesel engines of 1.9L operating volume (from February 1995 till March 2000) and 2.0L (from April 2000 till February 2006) requiring the oils with 917A approval. FORD 913D approval is used for some gasoline engines, such as 2.5L Duratec Ford Focus ST (2004), and 1.3 L, 1.6 L, 1.8 L. Duratec. FORD 913D approval is required particularly for Ford Transit Custom (2012) diesel engines and has a reverse compatibility for other FORD gasoline and diesel engines (see exceptions). Thus, FORD WSS M2C 913 D covers most gasoline and diesel engines requiring the oils with FORD WSS M2C 913 A, 913 B and 913 C approvals. Meeting ACEA A5/B5 requirements, MOTUL SPECIFIC 913D 5W-30 ensures additional fuel economy on 3% to meet FORD requirements to CO2 emissions. 913D standard also requires a highly resistant oil film to provide stable viscosity properties during all the change interval. This property is very important according to modern tendencies of biofuel usage, e.g., biodiesel. MOTUL Specific 913D 5W-30 guarantees excellent lubricating properties, including anti-wear ones, when using biodiesel fuel with the mixture up to 7% (Biodiesel B7). FORD WSS M2C 913D standard requires to keep ash suspended. A special dispersant in MOTUL Specific 913D 5W-30 prevents formation of deposits of combustion by-products and increases oil viscosity. Thus, they ensure resistance to high temperatures and high oxidative stability during all the change interval and fully protect the engine. Recommendations. It is changed according to the manufacturer’s recommendations for the engines. The oil can be mixed with synthetic or mineral lubricants. Standards: ACEA A5/ B5.
