KENDALL MERCON V ATF Kendall MERCON V ATF is a premium quality, synthetic transmission fluid approved for use in passenger car and light truck automatic transmissions which require a Ford MERCON V fluid. It can be used in automatic transmissions of 2006 and earlier model-year Ford vehicles, except those which require the fluids MERCON SP or Type F. It also may be used in automatic transmissions of GM 2005 and earlier model-year. MERCON V ATF provides improved anti-wear and anti-shudder performance compared with usual ATF fluids. It is also characterized by better low-temperature properties. It is highly shear stable and has excellent resistance to oxidation for long fluid life. The synthetic formulation of this product provides enhanced performance benefits compared with conventional, mineral transmission fluids. Applications. MERCON V ATF is recommended for the first fill in all the autos which require Ford MERCON V fluids and in the transmissions of Ford and GM 2005 and earlier car types which do not require MERCON SP, Type F, Type T-lV, DEXRON-Vl or CVT fluids. It is recommended for use in heavy-duty automatic and powershift transmissions in trucks and buses. It is recommended for use in hydraulic power steering in all the autos except Ford. It is used in hydraulic systems on industrial and mobile equipment operating over a wide temperature range.
