Gulf Gulfco LA is a low-ash oil for engines operating on natural gas. Description. Gulfco LA is a series of motor oils for highly loaded engines operating on natural gas for which it is recommended to use low-ash lubricants. It is specially designed for the newest engines operating on the weak mixture and valves sensitive to gap sizes. Its thoroughly selected additive package ensures good engine protection and reduces deposits in the combustion chamber. Excellent detergent and dispersive properties and low ash content minimize oil oxidation and nitridation which is important for the engines operating under higher loads and in high temperatures. It exceeds the API CF requirements and such standards as: Waukesha Cogeneration and Dresser Rand category III, viscosity grade SAE 30 and SAE 40. High resistance to oxidation and nitridation makes this oil an excellent choice for most engines operating under high loads and in high temperatures. It protects valves from wear.
