MOTUL SPECIFIC 948B 5W-20 is a high-performance, energy-saving, 100% synthetic motor oil. It is specially developed for FORD and other auto makers requiring the oils with a very low viscosity value 2.6 mPa.s HTHS (high temperature high shear): Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Chrysler, Jeep… It can be used in modern gasoline and diesel engines requiring ACEA A1/B1 energy-saving oils with SAE 5W-20 viscosity. It is compatible with the catalytic converter. Read your auto owner’s manual before the oil application. 100% synthetic oil has been made to ensure excellent lubrication of FORD gasoline engines of the latest generation, except Ford Ka models (from August 2008) requiring 917A approval, Ford Focus ST 2.5L Duratec (2004) requiring 913D approval and Ford Focus RS (2004) requiring 937A approval, as well as 1.3L, 1.6L and 1.8L Duratec engines requiring 913 D approval. FORD WSS M2C 948B approval is applied to 3-cylinder gasoline EcoBoost engines with 1L operating volume and for other FORD gasoline engines (see exceptions above). Thus, FORD WSS M2C 948B approval covers most current specifications for gasoline engines: FORD WSS M2C 913 A, 913 B, 913 C, 925 A, 925 B for JAGUAR and LAND ROVER. Together with ACEA A1/B1 standard, MOTUL SPECIFIC 948B 5W-20 ensures higher fuel economy (>3.3%). At the same time, the reliability retains or improves according to 913C standard. It provides energy-saving properties and low emissions which complies with the manufacturers’ requirements to reduced CO2 emission. MOTUL SPECIFIC 948B 5W-20 has excellent resistant oil film which reduces friction, provides necessary oil pressure and reduces engine operation temperature, especially at low-temperature starts. Lubricating properties of MOTUL SPECIFIC 948B 5W-20 ensure a high level of anti-wear characteristics and thermal and oxidative stability which reduces oil burnout consumption. It has anti-wear, anti-corrosive and anti-foaming properties. Recommendations. It is changed according to the manufacturer’s recommendations for the engines.
